About

I suffer from ADD: “Adventure Deficit Disorder.” This ailment is my main cause of motivation to impart one simple and overlooked concept of our daily natural lives that we all take for granted for one reason or another—travel. What does travel mean to you? To me it’s more than just the mere definition of “travel”; or going from point “A” to point “B”. It should be more than jumping in your car to visit your friends at the mall, or find yourself cooped up in a city bus to get to your local hangout. It’s really all about exploring the earth and learning to appreciate this larger-than-life treasure and finding the common and uncommon interest in people, the places, and the planet.

Exploring the Earth also doesn’t mean that you should sell everything, donate your clothes, and run into the woods naked. It’s taking a moment from your busy lives and take a step back, a deep breath, and looking at the big picture… and get out there and explore. It’s about leaving home and stepping outside your comfort zone. If we just take a moment and free ourselves from our daily boring routines, we would eventually see what I envision… our Earth as one big giant, magnificent, beautiful playground. There’s a grand and powerful world out there, and for those who want it, it’s yours.

For me, travel is not a phase but a lifestyle; and for those who know me understand how this has greatly improved the quality of my life. Travel has taught me to never be afraid of failure, but of boredom. It’s about being careful not to set impractical tasks and enjoying your leisure. It’s an incredible change of how you recognize the world and how the world recognizes you. Returning from your journey provides you with a more deep appreciation for what’s out there, and more specifically, the world we live in. If we can all find a way to Increase personal options that benefit our mind, body, and soul over materialistic possessions, many would eliminate the unhealthy feeling of being trapped in a life that no longer seems to satisfy them.

I tend to base my life around travel and exploration of our great Earth, our most valuable possession. For this true sense of awakening, everything has always strangely worked out for one reason or the other. Find yourself through the high Rockies where it’s most forbidding, and pass through towards a peaceful ocean. Venture onward into majestic canyons, and headlong through the Great Plains and discover where the colors of the Earth have a life of their own. Find where the Earth itself seems to worship the sun. By nightfall, it will calm you to sleep, by day, awaken your senses, and by sunset that will blow you away. Find yourself where the sky is bigger, nature is stronger, and where the forces that shape this Earth still live.

My blog based on travel and discovery will hopefully motivate, encourage, and inspire many to explore my revelation, and feel their place in the Universe. Like the west wind, the zephyr, let it take you only where the wind can go.

I believe people in general stop living life when they stop taking risks. It’s a lot easier to die if you have lived; than if you haven’t lived at all. It has fulfilled my overall health and happiness and well-being. Find out what it’s like to be awake when everything else is asleep. It’s time to set aside your excuses and live the uncommon choice — the road less traveled.
